Book Launch – ‘Local Sustainable Homes’ by Chris Bird

LOCAL SUSTAINABLE HOMES Chris Bird will be at The Exchange from 11am to 2pm to launch his new book about the obstacles to eco-renovation and how to make sustainable housing happen.

Chris will be available to talk about his research into pioneering individuals and groups around the country (including Stroud) for this latest Transition Guide.

A selection of GREEN/ENVIRONMENTAL BOOKS will be for sale.

Café

NIGHTINGALE’S CAFE will be serving delicious food and drinks home-made from local, organic and fairly traded ingredients where possible.

The Exchange is an 1830s stone building with a new, environmentally sustainable extension including PV, solar hot-water panels, super-double glazing, high levels of insulation, and ground source heat pump serving underfloor heating.  Fully accessible toilets.
